Not technically (grins), they were bowling well in the powerplay. Our bowlers bowled really well to restrict them to under 180. (On Saha) He's such a fantastic guy to be able to bat with and have that coordination with in the slips. He's one player who has played from the first season and is still playing. The way he's keeping his fitness is just phenomenal. (The plan when Saha was going hard) Just waiting for my opportunity in the first three or four overs. I wasn't getting enough deliveries to face but it was important to continue. (On scoring more sixes than fours) It's all about playing the situation of the match. Previous to this match I didn't hit any sixes in the last two matches and I got a boundary in the 7th over.

Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans captain): Yeah I don't think I can ask anything better from the boys. Especially playing after one day's gap and in the afternoon. The way the game changed after that (Rashid's catch) -  after the 8th or 9th over we were even-steven but it changed after that. They were chasing the game after that. The catch changed the game.  We were under pressure at one point but it is important because in big games, we will be challenged and put under pressure. (Bragging rights over Krunal) I don't think so. My love towards him is very strong. I always wish that he does well. I don't think I will be bragging. Would've been happier if it would've been tighter and he would've gotten the bragging rights. But happy with the way we played. 

Mohit Sharma (Gujarat Titans): Yes we (Shami and Mohit Sharma) talk a lot about what to bowl, how to mix-up when the ball is old, and what to do when the ball is new. Since today was a day game, we knew the wicket will slow down. I have practiced the knuckle ball but I have hurt my finger so it won't come out well. I am trying to keep the ball away from the batters and not be in their arc. I keep talking to Ashu bhai (Ashish Nehra) about a variety of things - mainly about how to mix the length delivery. It should be at the top of off stump.

A clinical performance by the Gujarat Titans and they secure yet another win at home to fortify their position at the top of the table! They've gone up to 16 points already - which one would reckon are enough for a qualification. After putting up a massive total in the first innings, the bowlers have come out and done the job for them. Credit to the bowlers, they pulled things back magnificently after LSG got off to a flier and made it seem like the Super Giants were playing on a different, much larger ground. The pitch slowed down as well and Hardik Pandya's assessment of the track at the toss proved to be right. 

Quinton de Kock and Kyle Mayers started off the innings in grand fashion, collecting 72 runs off the powerplay, to push GT onto the back-foot. They attacked Shami, Hardik and even took the Afghan duo of Rashid and Noor to the cleaners. However, after the powerplay is when GT announced their comeback into this contest. They started by dismissing Mayers, a wicket which sucked the momentum out of the LSG batting. 

From there on, they never really got going. Quinton de Kock perhaps struggled for timing a touch in the searing heat at Ahmedabad on his return after having kept the wickets for over twenty overs. He kept losing partners at the other end as the GT bowlers ran through the middle order. In the end, the total proved to be far too much and LSG's big power-hitters couldn't get into the double digits as well. 

A convincing performance and Gujarat Titans are just carrying on from where they left off last season. As for LSG, their net run-rate would've taken a big hit and they will have to certainly have to go back to the drawing board ahead of their next game.

Badoni was doing all he could to reduce the margin of defeat but he perishes as the slower one does the trick once again! It is just going from bad to worse for LSG!
